CJ DaGren

CJ DaGren graduated with a master’s degree in creative writing in 2016 and has had short stories and flash fictions published in Calaveras Station Literary Journal, From Sac, and Mosaic.  She also won first place in creative memoir and two second-place awards for short-story and poetry in the CSUS Bazzanella Literary Awards for 2015. All of these previously published and awarded stories are available to read on this site for free, below. She hopes you enjoy.

Award Winning Stories:

The Dominic J. Bazzanella Writing Competition is offered every spring semester at California State University, Sacramento through the English department (link to information flyer provided from CSUS Arts and Letters Scholarship website). There is a graduate and undergraduate competition where a student may enter up to one submission in each category per year in their division. In 2015 CJ DaGren won in three of the four categories: first place memoir, second place short story, and second place poetry. (Published under Carolani Green).
